It's mainly just visually but everything works as it should.
Just small things like breaks in between sical gaps.
Someone even got us drinks when we were laying on the beach.Food was great; and I miss my eggs and bacon for breakfast. It didn't bother us much, but might upset some people. The hotel has a gym, table tennis, volleyball, tennis court, windsurf, sailing, snorkeling equipment, kayaks and other water activities.Overall a great stay would recommend.Staff is very friendly and hard working. At first I thought the hotel used horrible smelling fertilizer, but think it was the red tide because the smell went away by mid-morning.Dont hesitate to get out with the Tropic Surf crew.Had steak latvia keno and lobster that was very fresh and eakfast buffet is fantastic.First time in Costa Rica, richardT600, New Rochelle, New York, sat Nov 10 05:35:My wife and I visited Costa Rica for the first time and stayed 5 nights at this Four Seasons resort.Been here a few days already and wanted to submit a review if it helps anyone.

With the airport transfers we purchased, it was smooth on an air conditioned bus to our hotel.Hotel grounds well looked after, great facilities overall.Or two excursions were to the Volcano/ Rain Forest and Diamante Eco par arranged by the helpful Amstar reps.Guanacaste is less tropical, humid and lush than the rest of the country. All Inclusive 24 hours, free WiFi throughout hotel, directly on Matapalo beach, next to the Riu Guanacaste. You can get a good swim in up to about 10am and then the main pool starts getting a few people in it, not crowded but who may get in your way if your on a mission.Overall lots of positive reviews already.Take time to get to know these staff, I did not know this until late in our second week but you can take one of them to lunch with you and they are so appreciative of this ( apparently they do not have ice cream. If your stay is for work purposes, then the, hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica will be ideal for you.
The Pools, now this is where part of the magic happens (more on that shortly) There are more than enough sunbeds to go around, even when we came back from a trip we did not have any trouble finding some, a group of 4 turned.
I have to give a salute to Edwin, of the pool bar who was phenomenal.
The level of service and attentiveness of the staff was fantastic and all we expected from a Four Seasons resort.
